BITHYNIA. Koinon of Bithynia. Trajan, 98-117. Hexassarion (Bronze, 34 mm, 22.12 g, 7 h). ΑΥΤ ΝΕΡ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ϹΕΒΑϹ ΓΕΡMA Laureate head of Trajan to right. Rev. ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ Demeter, veiled, standing frot, head to left, holding grain ears in her right hand and scepter in her left. RPC III 1128 var. (obverse legend ends on ΓΕΡ). SNG von Aulock 6914 var. (obverse legend ends on ΓΕΡ). An apparently unpublished variety. Dark surfaces with a hint of porosity, otherwise, very fine.
